Maternity Voices Partnership

Are you a local parent or parent-to-be who is interested in improving maternity services in City & Hackney for women, their partners and families?

The City & Hackney Maternity Voices Partnership (MVP) are looking for a Chair (maternity cover) and Vice-Chair.

The MVP is a partnership of parents, parents-to-be and maternity service providers, including Homerton Hospital and City & Hackney Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). The aim of the MVP is for maternity services to be as good as they can be, making sure that the voices of women and their partners are listened to and inform the way in which maternity care is provided.

The MVP meets approximately every 2 months to discuss and progress areas that it has identified as priorities. Meetings are held either face-to-face in the local area (such as a children’s centre) or virtually.

The Chair and Vice-Chair roles involve up to about 5 days a month in total, between the two roles. This is likely to be in short sessions rather than whole days and can be done flexibly to fit in with family life. Chairs and Vice-Chairs are usually women that have used local maternity services recently (within the last 3 years) or people that work in voluntary organisations that support pregnant women and new parents. Previous experience of a chairing role is welcomed but not essential.

For more information about the roles and how to apply please read the guidance documents below:
