Hackney’s Spring Hill practice formally opened last week from its new location at Adams House, Stamford Hill.
The launch of the new venue follows the close collaboration of NHS City and Hackney Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), the Guinness Partnership, NHS Property Services and the practice itself, after Springfield and Tollgate Practices came together in September 2017 to create Spring Hill.
With funding provided by the NHS, backed by the CCG, and a property supplied by the Guinness Partnership, the development of Spring Hill took two years, managed on behalf of the CCG by Primary Care Projects Associates.
Mark Rickets, City and Hackney CCG Chair, said: “As part of our ongoing drive to develop modern, fit for purpose health facilities, Spring Hill is a fantastic example of how partnership working between health and housing organisations is helping to meet that aim. We would like to thank all involved for their hard work which has made the bringing together of two practices on to one site possible. Guinness Partnership deserve special recognition for allowing the NHS to use their property.”
Susan Swaffer, Portfolio Optimisation Manager at NHSPS said: “The refurbishment works have been funded by NHS England’s Estates & Technology Transformation Fund. We worked closely with the Practice and our partners to reach the necessary agreements in a tight timeframe that has enabled us to create a more efficient NHS in East London."
