On Monday 27 August 2018, your normal GP practice will be closed for the Bank Holiday and the below practices will be open from 8am until 8pm.
Some practices across City and Hackney will also be open on the Saturday and Sunday.
Need to see a GP on Monday 27 August?
Patients registered with a City and Hackney Practice can ask to be seen between 8am and 8pm on Monday 27 August at one of the above practices - please ask your own practice to book you an appointment.
If you need a GP appointment on the bank holiday and haven’t booked in advance, you will need to ring the NHS Clinical Assessment Service on 111. If an urgent GP appointment is required they will book you one on the day. Please note, not everyone will be suitable to be seen - you will be advised.
Pharmacies open on Monday 27 August 2018
Pharmacists can advise you on minor illnesses like sore throats, coughs and colds. View a list of pharmacies that are open on the bank holiday in the City of London and the Borough of Hackney.
If you take regular medicines on repeat prescription, it is important that you have enough supplies to cover the entire bank holiday weekend. Please make sure that you have ordered your medicines, allowing plenty of time for this to be processed by your GP practice and dispensed by your chemist before the bank holiday weekend begins.
If you run out of your prescription medicines over the bank holiday, call 111 and ask for advice about how you may be able to access an emergency supply.
Urgent dental treatment
If you have an urgent dental problem and your usual dental practice is closed, call 111 and ask to speak to the Dental Advice Service.
