Personal Health Budgets

Since October 2014, anyone who receives continuing healthcare has the right to have a personal health budget. A personal health budget (PHB) is an amount of money from the NHS allocated to an individual to support their identified health and wellbeing needs. PHBs are aimed at helping people maintain their independence, giving them more control over the support services and care they receive.

Information about personal health budgets in City and Hackney, who qualifies for them and who to contact if you'd like to discuss your situation, is available here.

You can also read more about personal health budgets and hear from patients with experience of using them, here.
