Many health services are now online and being able to use the Internet is becoming an increasingly important skill. It allows you to book medical appointments, renew prescriptions, find services and look for health information.
Residents in the City and Hackney can now manage their health online in the same way they manage other areas of their life such as banking and shopping.
GP online services is a quick, easy and secure way to make and cancel GP appointments, order repeat prescriptions and view parts of your GP health record, including information about medication, allergies, vaccinations, previous illnesses and test results.
City and Hackney CCG is working with local GPs to increase awareness and availability of these services. We want to encourage as many people as possible to sign up to this fantastic service and start taking control of their health. For more information please visit GP Online services or ask your GP practice about how to sign up.
Developed by young people for young people, NHS Go is a free and confidential website and app, aimed at helping young people take control and make decisions about their health. The app providers a wide range of reliable health information and useful sections on the NHS and your rights as well as how to make a complaint and find local services.
There are a range of support services and training programmes available to help you become a confident Internet user and navigate online information safely. Click here to find out more.
Online support is available via Learn My Way website, which has really easy to use training courses on:
If you would rather attend a face to face training session you can find out what is available locally at UK Online Centres.
