The CCG is committed to reducing fraud, bribery and corruption in the NHS and will seek the appropriate disciplinary, regulatory, civil and criminal sanctions against fraudsters and where possible will attempt to recover losses. The aim of our policy and procedure is to protect the property and finances of the NHS and of patients in our care. To meet our objectives, we have adopted the four-stage approach developed by NHS Protect:
1) Strategic Governance;
2) Inform and Involve;
3) Prevent and Deter;
4) Hold to Account.
City & Hackney CCG will take all necessary steps to counter fraud and bribery in accordance with guidance or advice issued by NHS Protect. This document sets out City & Hackney CCG’s policy for dealing with detected or suspected fraud and bribery.
