About Us

NHS City and Hackney Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is an NHS organisation. CCGs are led by GPs, which means that they are better placed to assess, understand and meet the health needs of their patients, ensuring effective and accessible healthcare for all. City and Hackney CCG is made up is made up of 43 GP practices.

We are responsible for:

  • understanding the health needs of the population
  • facilitating the design and redesign of services
  • buying services
  • measuring the impact of services and how well they are provided. 

The CCG is overseen by NHS England, which ensures we have the capacity and capability to commission services successfully and to meet our financial responsibilities.
